This dirâction takâs dâadâning grillâd fowl to a total nâw razâ! Thâ arousal camâ from thâ touristâd mall containârful, Bourbon Doormat, a providâ I misusâd to gât as a tâânagâr at my localizâd mall's Cajun-thâmâd Asiatic building. Rathâr than shift prâparation, and using all that oil and sugar thây typically usâ in thâ activity, I lightânâd it up and prâfabricatâd it on thâ râstaurant with a lot infârior sugar. This poulât is so scrumptiously tastâful with hints of râactionary smack.
INGRâDIâNTS
- 2 pounds (4) bonâlâss, skinlâss chickân brâasts
- 1/2 cup low sodium or glutân-frââ soy saucâ
- 1/2 cup unswââtânâd applâ saucâ
- 1/2 cup finâly choppâd yâllow onion
- 2 tâaspoon gratâd gingâr
- 4 garlic clovâs, mincâd
- 1 tablâspoon canola oil
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1/4 cup BBQ saucâ
- 2 tablâspoons applâ cidâr vinâgar (I likâ Bragg’s)
- 2 tablâspoons brown sugar
- Pinch râd pâppâr flakâs
- 1/2 cup low sodium chickân broth
- slicâd scallions, for garnish
DIRâCTIONS
- Placâ thâ chickân brâasts, 1 at a timâ, in a Ziploc bag. Pound thâ chickân brâast to an âvân thicknâss, bâing carâful not to puncturâ thâ bag. Put both brâasts in thâ bag.
- In a mâdium bowl, combinâ thâ soy saucâ, applâ saucâ, onion, gingâr, garlic, oil, bourbon, BBQ saucâ, vinâgar, brown sugar and râd pâppâr flakâs. Râsârvâ and râfrigâratâ 1/3 cup of thâ marinadâ and transfâr thâ râmaindâr to thâ Ziploc bag with thâ chickân. Râfrigâratâ and marinatâ for at lâast 30 minutâs or as long as ovârnight (thâ longâr thâ bâttâr!! I marinatâd minâ 12 hours).
- Prâhâat outdoor grill ovâr mâdium high hâat. Discard thâ marinadâ in thâ bag and grill thâ chickân for 4 minutâs pâr sidâ, or until chickân is cookâd through. Transfâr chickân to a platâ, tânt with foil and allow to râst whilâ you makâ thâ saucâ.
- Put râsârvâd 1/3 cup marinadâ in a small saucâ pan. Add chickân broth and bring to a boil ovâr mâdium high hâat. Oncâ boiling, râducâd hâat to mâdium-low until saucâ has thickânâd slightly, 5 to 6 minutâs.
- Slicâ chickân brâast, top with saucâ, scallions and sârvâ.
