HOW TO BUILD AN EASY BREAKFAST BOARD
I love that a breakfast or brunch board is flexible and may be bespoken to your own preferences and what you have got within the house. To form things super straightforward, I prefer adding shop-bought pastries like waffles, croissants, muffins and bagels and adding breakfast parts like eggs and bacon. Stewed eggs ar excellent as they'll be created the night before and bacon is boiled during a flash during a hot kitchen appliance (and you have got to heat the croissants anyway).
Scrambled eggs also are nice once change of state for a crowd and stewed eggs may be created ahead and unbroken during a bowl of water within the refrigerator till you’re able to serve. Breakfast sausages, salmon, slices of ham or different delicatessen also {will|will} work well as will cheese. And if you’re serving bagels, don’t forget the cheese.
I like to end the straightforward breakfast board off with recent fruit, pots of food (these straightforward breakfast food and fruit jars are perfect!), jam and syrup. Guests will conjure their own breakfast plates effort you to relish a cup of low and take pleasure in the glory of being the hostess (or host) with the mostess.
INGREDIENTS :
Boiled eggs :
- 4 eggs
Crispy oven bacon :
- 250 g streaky bacon (approximately 10 strips)
For the breakfast board :
- croissants
- waffles
- strawberries
- jam of your choice
- yogurt
- maple syrup
INSTRUCTIONS :
- Pre-heat the oven to 200ºC/400ºF and place the bacon on a non-stick baking tray.
- Place in the hot oven and allow to cook for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the bacon is cooked to your preference.
- In the meantime, place the eggs in a pot and fill with water.
- Place over high heat on the stove and once the water comes up to a boil, start your timer. I cooked these eggs for 6 minutes as I wanted them to be set throughout but have creamy yolks. 4-5 minutes = soft, 5-6 minutes = jammy yolks, 6-7 minutes = hard boiled.
- Remove the eggs from the boiling water and place in an ice bath to immediately cool them down before peeling them.
- Place the halved boiled eggs, crispy bacon and other breakfast ingredients on a large serving board/platter and serve with hot coffee and fresh pressed orange juice.
