I am a large fan of Classic dish, however i have to say that adding tender crunchiness to the surface simply takes it to a brand new level.  My children love all my breakfast recipes, however whenever I create this it’s invariably in the middle of praises of, “Mom this can be the most effective dish ever!” positively take into account serving it with home-brewed sirup to essentially take it over the top!

One of of my favorite jobs, was as a server at the Park town Grill. The eating house was within the Marriott edifice and that I worked the breakfast and lunch shift, that meant I had to be there by 5:30am! Despite the first hours, I actually dear operating there.

My absolute favorite breakfast dish we tend to served was referred to as crisp dish. At the grill, our crisp dish was coated in crushed corn flakes cereal. Once creating it reception I’ll typically use Rice Krispies cereal or crushed cornflakes (both ar delicious!) this might be one amongst my all time favorite breakfast recipes.

Crunchy French Toast

INGREDIENTS :
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 thick slices bread (like Texas Toast)
  • 2 heaping cups crispy rice cereal or crushed corn flakes

INSTRUCTIONS :
  1. Preheat griddle to 350 degrees F or or heat a skillet over medium heat. 
  2. Add cereal to a shallow pie dish or plate. Add all ingredients, except the bread and cornflakes to a blender or to a shallow dish and whisk well to combine. If whisking by hand, it's okay if the flour doesn't mix in completely smooth.
  3. Add the batter and the cereal to two separate shallow dishes. Dip each piece of bread into the egg mixture on both sides and then press gently into the cereal, flipping to coat both sides.
  4. Melt a small piece of butter in a skillet or griddle over medium heat (or grease with cooking spray). Place the bread slices on the hot skillet and cook for a few minutes until golden on the bottom and then flip and cook on the other side.
  5. Serve warm with your your favorite syrup.
