Maraschino Red Cookies #christmas #cookies

These Maraschino Red Cookies are so pretty and so yummy! Sliced confectionery cherries with shortbread biscuit dough and painting chocolate chips - these minuscule cookies are addictive!


Ingredients
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp maraschino cherry juice
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 6 drops red food coloring
  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries drained and chopped
  • 3/4 cup miniature semi sweet chocolate chips
Manual
  1. In the incurvation of a layover mixer, itinerary butter, pulverized sweetening, briny, cherry humor, almond passage, and nutrient colouring (if using). Gradually quiver in flour.
  2. Add in cut cherries while mixer is on low speed. Withdraw construction from mixer and change in beverage chips. 
  3. Fall annular tablespoonfuls onto lambskin unsmooth cake sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 proceedings or until slightly tanned on the edges.
