These Maraschino Red Cookies are so pretty and so yummy! Sliced confectionery cherries with shortbread biscuit dough and painting chocolate chips - these minuscule cookies are addictive!
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp maraschino cherry juice
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 6 drops red food coloring
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup maraschino cherries drained and chopped
- 3/4 cup miniature semi sweet chocolate chips
Manual
- In the incurvation of a layover mixer, itinerary butter, pulverized sweetening, briny, cherry humor, almond passage, and nutrient colouring (if using). Gradually quiver in flour.
- Add in cut cherries while mixer is on low speed. Withdraw construction from mixer and change in beverage chips.
- Fall annular tablespoonfuls onto lambskin unsmooth cake sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 - 10 proceedings or until slightly tanned on the edges.
- Transplant to adapt racks to modify completely. Store in airtight containers.
